Kia Ora! My name is Ashley Cairns and I am a Mental Health Counsellor, CEO of A Change for Better, and avid traveller. Since 2012, I have personally visited almost 50 countries and lived in 4 (the United States, Canada, Thailand, and New Zealand).
I am passionate about learning about new cultures and exploring the world. You can see some of my travels on my Instagram Page – The Great Wander. With Covid keeping the world grounded for the last few years, I felt like it was finally time to get out there and travel again!
And that’s why I want to bring you to a place that is like a second home to me – Nadi, Fiji! Come beat the winter blues with me this August and see the best of Fiji.
I am Joe Cairns, Chief Technology Officer at A Change for Better, CEO of Our Office Online as well as a Cyber Security Specialist working with one of the biggest names in the Financial Technology field.
Travel has been a passion of mine for quite some time. I have travelled to over 50 countries, smashing my goal of 40 before I was 40. In 2017, Ashley and I took the trip of a lifetime around the world when my work temporarily relocated us to Canada. 17 countries in 6 weeks from Auckland, NZ ending in Toronto. Technology is my other passion and I love using my experience and skills from my 25-plus years in the IT industry to build technology solutions for anyone in the therapy and mental health sector. It is hugely rewarding for me to help people grow their ideas and play a part in seeing them succeed.
Itinerary:
Day -2 - 1 (for those choosing to come early on August 8th):
- Fly into Nadi and be transported to our Nadi-based resort
- Breakfast
- Dinner credit of $30 FJD at the resort
- Choose between:
- Unstructured time
- Tivua Island Cruise with transfers and BBQ lunch upgrade for $240 NZD
- Serenity Island Cruise including lunch and transfers upgrade for $240 NZD
Day 1:
- Fly into Nadi and be transported to our Nadi-based resort
- Unstructured activities day to allow for flexibility on incoming flights
- Experience a REAL Fijian welcome like no other – please arrive at the resort no later than 5pm to attend. If a later arrival, you’ll receive a free dinner at the resort upon arrival
Day 2:
- Breakfast
- Shuttle to daily cultural activities
- Nadi Temple
- Fiji Village
- Sleeping Giant Garden
- Mud Pool
- Lunch on the road
- Back to the resort for bags and transfer to the island via the Robinson Crusoe Island jetty

Day 3:

Yes! You may choose to pay all of the cost or a $500 NZD non-refundable deposit per person and make the remaining payments prior to August 1st 2023.
You can pay for this retreat via online banking (if in NZ) or via PayPal or Wise (if international).
If you are paying with PayPal, we ask that you add an additional 1% towards fees.
All meals, accomodation, and activities listed above.
Airfare to and from Nadi airport, travel insurance, and any spending money you may want to spend during shopping trips.
I’m very sorry but in order to provide a high quality experience to all travelers, we ask that this retreat be for adults only.
Yes totally! This trip is best enjoyed by a group of friends or loved ones.
We are still finalising this and should have the full schedule prior to May 1st.
Currently, Ashley Cairns will speak on how to start a private practice and market your practice, Amy Marschall will speak on building additional income streams for your practice, and Joe Cairns will speak on counselling and technology. We are currently speaking to a few others who are keen to contribute.

The initial $500 NZD deposit is non-refundable. This is to cover our costs should you cancel.
Any money paid in addition to this is refundable until August 1st. Any cancellations after August 1st will result in the forfeiture of all monies paid.
You may transfer your package to another for a $100 NZD fee.
These will be handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the severity of the trip interruption. Email Ashley should this occur as soon as you are aware.
We are taking interest for potential summits in 2024 and 2025.
Some of the countries we’ve thought of for our future summits include Fiji, Bali, Rarotonga, Vietnam, and Thailand.
